Warehouse Supervisor

The location in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Warehouse Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent.

Duties of the Position

  • Supervise a crew of about 10 material handlers
  • Monitor safe operating procedures to ensure all work is being done in a safe manner
  • Work with other warehouse supervisors on providing a safe working environment for all employees, following all organizational health & safety procedures
  • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes
  • Assign duties and monitor productivity to meet daily shipping requirements
  • Train and rotate employees in different areas to maintain a flexible workforce
  • Working within a collective agreement to guide employees and correct improper behaviours
  • Coordinate with other shifts and departments to meet company objectives
  • Effectively administer payroll and timekeeping
  • Take the lead in an emergency or unforeseen situations
  • Lead and participate in health & safety investigations
  • Ensure the facility and product are secure- lock/unlock gates and building, set alarms
  • Other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or as required from time to time as dictated by the changing needs of the business
