The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior IT Admin - FST. This job is full-time permanent.
The Senior IT Admin—FST is responsible for providing tiers 1 and 2 support at the Skookumchuck, BC pulp mill. The support includes the company’s corporate network for Skookumchuck. , and tiers 1, 2 & 3 support for the local PCN-OT environment as it is built at Skookumchuck. This role provides expert-level technical support to the company and interacts daily with Corporate IT, business, and mill/site management. This role will also serve as the lead PCN-OT resource located at a mill and is responsible for partnering with the PCN-OT Team as required
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the IT Supervisor – LSC in Richmond, BC.
Your challenges:
- Follow all Domtar safety rules and regulations.
- Utilize the internal IT Ticketing System to promptly resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests.
- Uphold the company’s IT and OT cybersecurity standards on business and Process Control Networks via your actions and communications.
- Ensure hardware assets are updated in the Asset Management System following the standard Domtar procedures.
- Provide 24/7 support for the assigned Skookumchuck.
- Coordinate and lead local infrastructure PCN-OT work with vendors, as required
- Perform and maintain regular, daily operational activities, including backups, patch installs, incident resolution, account maintenance, etc., for both the business and PCN-OT environments.
- Provide advanced-level support for the IT-related components of the Process Control (PCN-OT) environment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical problems, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, IP Addressing, etc., in both the business and PCN-OT environments.
- Maintain in-depth, advanced knowledge of the site’s PCN-OT environment and technologies.
- Partner and align with the corporate PCN-OT Team for all related activities.
- Available to provide aid and guidance to other manufacturing locations as requested.
- Handle complex projects and initiatives with little to no supervision.
- Work autonomously with little to no direct supervision.

Your profile:
- Associate degree in IT or a related field of study
- 10+ years’ experience in Information Technology or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in implementing and supporting data connectivity for local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) – must be comfortable using command-line interfaces.
- 10+ years of experience supporting Windows servers, desktops, directory services, and hypervisors.
- 5+ years’ experience leading and managing technology projects.
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years’ experience partnering with manufacturing and the PCN-OT teams to manage and maintain PLCs, Controllers, and DCS/QCS systems.
- 5+ years of demonstrated advanced knowledge of PCN-OT methodologies, processes, and standards.
- Experience leading projects involving PCN-OT vendors to deliver solutions.
- Cisco certifications.
- Strong English language skills required.
