Lab Technician

The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Lab Technician. This job is full-time permanent.

Duties:

1. Carries out routine tests on a daily basis, weekly, and monthly basis throughout the mill; collecting and processing the data.
2. Provides assistance, and performs duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications:

1. Must successfully pass the Laboratory Technician pre-entry Aptitude testing.
2. Must have Grade 12 Chemistry or the incumbent will be given 6 months from the date of entry to the department to pass Chemistry 12m via corrospondence.
3. Work experience as a Laboratory Technician favourable.

General:

1. High level multitasking, strong organizational skills
2. Numeracy and computer skills (MS Office Suite)
3. Practical and "hands on" with basic tools (may need to change pH probes, and minor reparis on testing/sampling equipment)
4. Physically fit, and able to lift 9-15KG up to 1m height
5. Able to work in subzero temperatures; sampling wells in the winter months
