The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Co-op Student. This job is full-time temporary.

Key activities include:
  • Verification and validation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with current equipment and energy sources
  • Review and input of confined space data, including hazard identification and control measures
  • Data entry, system population, and quality assurance within ConformIT
This work is time-intensive and detail-oriented, requiring substantial field engagement. Utilizing a co-op student allows us to progress implementation efficiently without diverting critical internal resources from day-to-day operational support.
In addition to ConformIT, several important safety projects require focused effort to meet corporate and regulatory expectations:
  • Chemical Management Improvements
    • Inventory verification, SDS validation, and alignment with WHMIS requirements
  • Risk Assessment / JSA Enhancements
    • Work again with teams on pulling their JSA and RA and inputting it on to ConformIT
  • Work at Heights Program & Corporate Self-Assessment
    • Support completion of corporate-driven self-assessment focusing on:
      • Ladders (condition, usage, compliance)
      • Fall protection systems (harnesses, lanyards, inspection records)
      • Anchor points (verification, labeling, and certification status)
    • Assist with field inspections, gap identification, and documentation
