The location in Rothschild, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Production Scheduler- Finishing Department. This job is full-time permanent.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the production schedule for the Finishing / Converting operations, including paper machines, sheeters, roll wrap, rewinders, and trimmers. This role ensures efficient production flow while meeting customer delivery requirements, inventory targets, and mill performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for paper machine, sheeters, roll wrap, rewinders, and trimmers
- Balance production efficiency with customer demand, inventory levels, and machine capabilities
- Coordinate with corporate planning, mill operations, sales, and other mills to align schedules and resolve conflicts
- Adjust daily and weekly schedules based on machine performance, maintenance needs, and customer priorities
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, buffer stock, and finished goods availability
- Order packaging materials and converting operation supplies as required
- Ensure accurate communication of schedule changes to production, maintenance, and leadership teams
- Support weekend and holiday rotation coverage as required
- Drive alignment with mill goals: Safety, Environment, Quality, Production, Cost, and Customer Satisfaction
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling efficiency, waste reduction, and throughput optimization
Qualifications:
- Experience in paper mill converting/finishing operations or similar, fast paced manufacturing environment,
- Background in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination,
- Working knowledge of inventory management and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is desired,
- Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced production environments.

Technical Competencies:
- High proficiency in computer systems: SAP, Autoprod, BaaN, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for scheduling and inventory balancing
- Experience with production scheduling systems and manufacturing data tools
- Understanding of paper converting/finishing operations preferred
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain, production flow, or mill operations strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills for coordination across production, maintenance, sales, and customers
