The location in Rothschild, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Operations Manager- Pulp Mill. This job is full-time permanent.
Operations Manager – Pulp Operations
Position Summary
The Operations Manager for Pulp Operations is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Pulp and Wood operations. This includes oversight of safety, environmental compliance, productivity, quality, process reliability, cost performance, and people development. The Operations Manager ensures the pulp mill operates safely, efficiently, and consistently while supporting the mill’s long-term strategic objectives.
This position reports directly to the Mill Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to improve safety, production, quality, and overall system reliability within the Pulp and Wood departments.
- Work as part of the site management team to ensure the mill meets or exceeds its annual operating plan.
- Collaborate with Paper Sales, Technical & Specialty groups, and other internal stakeholders to support product quality and customer expectations.
- Identify and implement improvements that strengthen people systems, employee engagement, and team performance.
- Develop, manage, and optimize annual budgets for assigned areas; identify and deliver cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and support operating teams to ensure high performance, accountability, and adherence to safe work practices.
- Promote and model environmental compliance and process discipline throughout the pulp mill.

Technical Competencies
- 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in pulp, paper, or integrated mill operations (experience may include Pulp Mill Supervisor, Paper Mill Leadership Role, Raw Materials Manager, etc.).
- Strong background in participative management and team-based systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal effectiveness.
- Highly self-motivated with demonstrated initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.
- Strong computer, troubleshooting, analytical, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience acting as a change agent, leading teams through improvement and transition.
