The location in Rothschild, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Finishing Operations Coordinator. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Position Summary

The Converting Production Supervisor serves as a resource and team leader within the Paper Finishing/Converting Department in a participative, team-based production environment. This role is responsible for leading hourly employees and coordinating daily converting operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while meeting quality and customer requirements.

The supervisor is accountable for managing both the process and the people within the converting area and works closely with maintenance, planning, safety and other departments across the mill to achieve overall mill objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and supervision of converting department employees in a team-based work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational policies while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Manage production processes to achieve department goals related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Work closely with maintenance to coordinate equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and reliability improvements.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives within the converting operation.
• Monitor production performance and implement actions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate across mill departments to support overall mill production and business objectives.
• Provide coaching, training, and development for team members in both technical and non-technical areas.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation within the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Pulp & Paper, Engineering or related field,
• Equivalent educational and relevant production experience not less than 7 years,                                                                                                                    • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and mill operating systems (CIMS preferred)
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process understanding
• Proven ability to promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Experience in a manufacturing or paper converting environment preferred
