Howe Sound Pulp and Paper has an immediate opportunity for a full-time, permanent Pipefitter at our Port Mellon facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter / Gasfitter Certification

• 5+ years of experience working within an industrial setting; pulp and paper environment an asset
• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing water and waste disposal systems
• Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble system components as required
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and project specifications
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of $54.57 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
• Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
• Comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental coverage and pension.
