Howe Sound Pulp and Paper has an immediate opportunity for a full-time, permanent Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).


As a member of the Maintenance team, you will provide safe maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and systems to ensure optimum production. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
•    Red Seal Certification
•    Experience working within an industrial setting
•    Experience with pump rebuilds, mechanical seals, hydraulic systems, bearing installation and other industrial equipment
•    Superior troubleshooting skills
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•    Commitment to working safely

 

Compensation and Benefits
•    Hourly rate of $48.66 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
•    Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
•    Comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental coverage and pension
•    Relocation benefit

 

Located on the western side of spectacular coastal British Columbia, Howe Sound Pulp and Paper is one of the oldest operating mills in the province.   Commissioned in 1909, Howe Sound Pulp and Paper plays a key role in the history of the Sunshine Coast. 
 

 

You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
