The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Manager, Data & AI Strategy Execution. This job is full-time permanent.

 

With the recent formation of the IT Digital and Data Transformation organization coupled with Domtar’s prioritized strategic focus of driving business value from our data assets, the opportunities have never been greater. Overview: As the Data & AI Strategy Execution Manager, you’ll guide a senior team in assessing organizational Data and AI needs to shape strategies and activities to drive business data value.  This newly created position will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Digital & Data organization, helping identify and develop high-value strategic initiatives that meet current business needs while driving the strategic execution of the Enterprise Data Strategy. 

 

Your Challenges 

  • Act as a liaison between the Digital & Data organization and business partners to align strategic goals, current business need and maintain a coordinated shared vision and activity roadmap. 
  • Planning, prioritizing, and enabling prioritized activities to achieve strategic goals and meet current business needs 
  • Leading the coordination of investigative activities to evaluate emerging digital technologies to foster innovation. 
  • Strategic development to expand the organization’s data-driven culture by embedding data literacy, training, and governance into the organization’s DNA.  
  • With the maturation of the data program, identify, develop and manage key strategic execution positions to keep pace with the growing data and AI demand. 

 

Your Skills 

  • Data Strategy Execution Expertise: Ability to develop initiatives that align with business goals and drive growth in both manufacturing and corporate contexts. 
  • Data Management & Governance: Deep knowledge of data quality, metadata, master data, integration, and security. 
  • Innovation & Technology Adoption: Proven ability to assess and implement digital and AI technologies, lead changes, and foster a culture of experimentation. 
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Focused on delivering exceptional digital experiences and understanding customer needs. 

 

Your Profile 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Over 10 years of experience in data leadership, management, and strategic development within manufacturing and corporate environments. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital, data, and AI initiatives.
