The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Data Analyst. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with a strong focus on financial data to join our team. This role will support financial planning, reporting, and decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial metrics, and data visualization tools. 

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Extract and maintain monthly financial databases.  

  • Analyze financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue growth. 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Excel, or SQL. 

  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting. 

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems and reports. 

  • Translate business questions into data queries and provide clear, concise insights. 

  • Support automation of recurring financial reports and processes. 

  • Monitor key financial KPIs and provide variance analysis. 

  • Assist in ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis. 

 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field. 

  • 2–4 years of experience in a data analyst or financial analyst role. 

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI (or similar BI tools). 

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. 

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus. 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
