The location in Kingsport, (Tennessee, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Mill Support. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Domtar Kingsport’s Packaging Mill is now accepting applications for Mill Support. This is the mill’s entry‑level position, but we are seeking individuals who are motivated to grow and advance within our high‑performance operation. Starting pay: $21+/hour plus comprehensive benefits.

SCHEDULE:

 The mill operates on a DuPont 12‑hour rotating schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning new skills
  • Embrace our family‑based, high‑performance work system
  • Safely operate powered industrial trucks
  • Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and painting
  • Complete groundskeeping tasks such as lawn care, landscaping, shoveling, and salting

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong aptitude for risk assessment and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Commitment to all safety policies and PPE requirements (hard hats, ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, chemical suits, steel‑toe boots, etc.)
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; use ladders and lifts
  • Safe operation of powered industrial trucks
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, noise, dust, and moisture
  • Basic computer skills preferred

Successful applicants will complete a selection process that includes an assessment, board panel interview, background check, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a physical examination relevant to the work performed.
