The location in Johnsonburg, (Pennsylvania, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Maintenance Superintendent. This job is full-time permanent.

YOUR ROLE:

The Pulp & Power Area Maintenance Superintendent leads the Mechanical and Electrical maintenance team and reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.  This position includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Supervise a staff of five supervisors and engineers and a workforce of approximately forty employees.
• Lead area safety initiatives and drive improvement activities to reduce or eliminate risks.
• Ensure completion of work to meet environmental compliance is executed.
• Manage hourly staff requirements for area to include training of new mechanics and electricians. 
• Execute the area maintenance plan and improve area reliability. 
• Lead the planning and execution of turnarounds.
• Ensure the day to day troubleshooting activities are effectively managed. 
• Tracks and develops solutions in a timely manner for repetitive issues. 
• Ensures that the predictive and preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and improved.
• Proactively identifies potential problem areas and acts to increase reliability and reduce costs. 
• Develop and implement the area maintenance budget and drive year over year cost improvement.
• Set performance expectations and provide feedback to direct reports on areas of improvement seeking input and developing strategies to improve engagement.     

YOUR PROFILE:

Required Qualifications:  The position requires ten years of maintenance and reliability experience in a large industrial facility including at least four years of direct supervisory experience.  Candidate must have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.  Previous experience directly managing an organized labor union. 

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be provided to candidates with Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, proficiency in SAP, a Reliability Certification with pulp mill and power area equipment experience.
