The location in Johnsonburg, (Pennsylvania, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Journey Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Your Role:

This position requires primary emphasis in Industrial Electricity, Electronics, Process Control, Programmable Controls, Troubleshooting and Instrumentation.  

 

Education/Experience Required:

Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent, a minimum of a two (2) year associate degree in electrical technology as well as four years of applicable experience or a minimum of ten years of progressive electrical maintenance experience in an industrial facility. Applicants must successfully pass written and practical tests for journeyman position, along with a structured board interview to qualify.  The position may be subject to rotating shift work. Other desired qualifications would include familiarity with P.L. C’s and D.C.S.

 

Intermediate A Electricians will be considered.

 

Starting rate of pay as high as $36.50 per hour based on qualifications.  Company benefits include group health insurance, holidays, vacation, 401(k) savings plan with company match, disability insurance, life insurance.



The Domtar Johnsonburg Mill has “safety sensitive” duties in all Mill job classifications.  The duties consist of:

  • Working at heights greater than four feet from ground level.
  • Use of chemicals in the paper process (chlorine, chlorine dioxide, sulfur compounds and sulfuric acid).
  • Operation of heavy machinery including overhead cranes and industrial trucks.
  • Lock out / tag out procedures.
