The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to our employees, union, and leaders. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will provide support to the HR staff & contribute to the accomplishment of HR practices & objectives, including but not limited to:
- Administration of benefits programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.)
- Assisting with testing, recruiting, and staffing
- Assisting with corporate initiatives
- Administration of drug screening program, community projects, employee service awards, and employee engagement
- Intrinsic part of the HR team
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in human resource management or relevant degree; able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality; able to work with minimal supervision; adaptable, flexible, & dependable in a fast-paced environment; excellent oral & written communication skills; strong computer skills, proficient in Excel and Word; demonstrated high level of time sensitive work prioritization, accuracy and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) plus years of HR experience; experience in a unionized manufacturing environment and HRIS database experience.
You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
