The location in Fort Mill, (South Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Production Planner. This job is full-time permanent.

 

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-focused individual who will be a valuable addition to the Planning team. Production planning plays a critical role in balancing customer demand, inventory investments, and manufacturing capacity across multiple facilities. This position partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Reporting to a Team Lead within Planning, this role is responsible for supporting executable production plans, managing inventory levels, and delivering efficient schedules to the manufacturing sites. Successful collaboration with cross-functional partners is essential, and being approachable, open-minded and detail-oriented will be key to your success in this role.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Oversee the production and inventory scheduling of assigned manufacturing or inventory locations, concentrating on creating, implementing, and revising daily, weekly, & monthly schedules for multiple sites
• Partner with sales, marketing, and customer service to meet the inventory and delivery needs of our customers as efficiently as possible
• Utilize multiple ERP systems and analytical tools
• Communicate effectively with sites on production, inventory status, loading and shipping updates, and concerns
• Identify changes in the demand/supply balance or inventory concerns
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to seek win-win solutions and improve efficiency
• Cross-train with other members of the team

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of planning, production scheduling, or supply chain experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:
• APICS/ASCM certification
• Manufacturing industry experience
• ERP experience (JDE, SAP, Baan)
• Experience in inventory optimization and demand planning
