The location in Dartmouth, (Nova Scotia, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Warehouse Associate. This job is full-time permanent.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the warehouse associate is responsible for accurate selection of orders, put aways and receiving. Utilizing SAP, the warehouse associate will verify that all inbound freight is correct with the purchase order and enter the inventory into the system. Additionally, the warehouse associate will prepare all outbound freight for pick up each evening. Finally, the warehouse associate will help in the day to day cleaning of the warehouse and perform additional tasks as may be required.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Pick orders, create shipments, load freight, and communicate issues to customer service representatives;
- Managing inbound activities including but not limited to entering purchase order receipts, processing returns, booking and recording inbound appointments;
- Inventory adjustments and movements including short stock inquiries, cancelling orders, cycle counting, and quantity changes;
- Maintain accurate records of all customer transactions, providing efficient follow-ups, resolving outstanding customer orders or concerns;
- Maintaining high standards of telephone etiquette and promptness;
- Liaise with Customer Service and Procurement as required
The successful incumbent will have:
- Previous material handling equipment experience an asset;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills;
- Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills;
- SAP knowledge and skills preferred;
- Excellent knowledge of the English language is required;
