Our Calhoun location in Calhoun Tennessee, is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Assistant Superintendent Tissue Operations. This job is permanent, full-time.

Primary Purpose

Assist with the planning, organizing, and management of various aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Tissue operation. Work closely with the department Superintendent and other mill leadership positions to meet and exceed safety, environmental, quality, and production goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of a safe workplace through support and implementation of policies and safety initiatives.
• Support and perform workplace safety assessments for equipment and tasks. Help in the education of employees on safety and compliance issues, take lead in incident investigations, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of safety issues.
• Assist the Superintendent in the management of the manufacturing process of the operation.
• Provide input and direction on the identification and management of quality, service, operational objectives, and goal establishment.
• Help analyze operational results around quality, safety, and production efficiency.
• Help mentor others within the department through training and development plans.
• Provide technical direction and expertise for equipment, materials, and operating procedures.
• Assist in labor relations issues as needed.

Knowledge And Experience

• At least 2 - 5 years’ leadership experience in a related industry.

• Ability to coach, counsel, and facilitate a team environment.
• Strong capabilities for analysis and problem solving.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Positive safety track record.
