The location in Brownsville, (Tennessee, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Forklift Opr Shipping. This job is full-time permanent.

Statement of Role:

Reporting to Crew Leader, the Material Coordinator/Shipper received supplies, ships finished goods, stages operating supplies, and works closely with the other crew members to ensure production is safe, efficient, and performed at the lowest possible cost.

Routine Primary Tasks:

1. Ensure that all material handling functions on your crew are carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner to ensure smooth operations and production.
2. Periodically contact your Crew Leader so proper communication can be maintained.  Communicate verbally and/or in writing to your relief, Crew Leader, and the Production Manager as required.
3. Ship finished goods and other materials, ensuring the correct product is shipped and the paperwork is properly completed.
4. Receive supplies and store properly.
5. Mop or sweep the warehouse floor as necessary to maintain a clean and safe operation, and perform other housekeeping tasks as directed by the Crew Leader.
6. Help maintain inventories of production supplies.  Report low quantities to your Crew Leader.
7. Work as a member of a team
8. Ensure truck drivers and other non-Domtar personnel stay out of unauthorized areas.
9. Properly train other employees to your classification.
10. Maintain operating supplies in good order, ensuring you rotate older supplies.
11. Maintain area for scrap plastic, paper, cardboard, and other recyclables.

Routine Tasks:

1. Properly sign and date all receiving documents.
2. Know and abide by all general plant rules, policies and procedures.
3. When ream wrap comes in, remove all old wrap and put new wrap in row.  Put old wrap in behind so it will be used first.
4. Travel slow and safe.
5. Keep all dunnage up.  This includes wood and air bags.
6. Rubber mats, or other dunnage must be removed from trucks when they are unloaded also.
7. Relay all necessary information at shift change about trucks, roll stock in use, ream wrap in use and change overs coming up, etc.
8. Always work safely and communicate with your crew leader.  Be responsible in your position and if you have questions, ask someone.

Safety:

1. Know and abide by all safety rules and regulations as set forth by our safety program and plant rules.
2. Correct any unsafe condition and act immediately.  Report to your Crew Leader as needed.
3. Follow the equipment lock out procedure.

Quality:

1. Perform all assigned quality control duties and assist other crew members in monitoring quality.
2. Understand all quality control specifications required of position.
3. Inspect shipping trailers for leaks or other abnormal conditions and reject as necessary.

Production:

1. Help with the running of operations such as cleaning sheeter jams, fill bodies or lids, put labels in, help with start-up, etc.
2. Empty trash hoppers and dump properly, keeping outside grounds free of debris.
3. Give proper relief, on the job to the oncoming Material Coordinator or Shipper, leaving relief in good operating condition.
4. Give proper relief as designated by the Crew Leader in areas you are qualified.  Maintain area while working as relief.

You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
