The location in Ashdown, (Arkansas, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Woodyard Operations Coordinator. This job is full-time permanent.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

 

This position provides support to the woodyard operations key result areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost.  This position will also have direct responsibility for morning reports, safety meetings, coordination of maintenance, implementation of capital projects, and upkeep of computer systems. This position will fill the Pulp/Woodyard Manager’s Weekend Duty position on a routine basis. Due to the semi-autonomous nature of the Woodyard this supervisor is typically on call 3 nights per week. Responsible for payroll approval of the hourly staff and support to the Forestry Department on deliveries and issues that arise.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: 

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the TABE, CRC, or Nowlin Test
  • Post secondary studies in a technical discipline are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years job related experience.
  • Familiarity with woodyard operations a plus.

 

 

SKILLS: 

 

This job requires good troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. Technical writing skills are also needed. Mechanical aptitude will be given consideration as well as familiarity with large mobile equipment.

 

COMPETENCIES

 

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, maintain a well-organized approach to work, and work with a group as a team member with the capacity to lead by example.

 

 This is a safety sensitive position.
