The location in Montréal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of HRIS Manager. This job is full-time permanent.
Manager, HRIS is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of HR technology platforms, including SAP SuccessFactors, UKG Pro Workforce Management, PowerBI in addition to other systems supported by HRIS operations. This role ensures the integrity, security, and optimization of HR data and systems, while supporting HR business partners (HRBPs), business process owners (BPOs), and other stakeholders across the organization.
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Senior Director, Human Resources Information Systems.
Your challenges:
System Management & Optimization
• Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS platforms and drive the adoption of new features and functionalities across the organization.
• Ensure that the HRIS functionalities are aligned with business processes and objectives.
• Manage user permissions, access controls, training, and other system configurations, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, as well as secure and streamlined user experience.
• Ensure the accuracy of data transferred (“interfaces”) between various systems (HR, Time Management, Payroll, Expense Management etc.) and troubleshoot interface errors.
• Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert in the implementation of new HRIS modules or systems including any associated change management activities that impact key business stakeholders.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human resources policies and processes as they apply to HRIS. Stay up to date with changes and anticipate impacts on systems and the HR team.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve HR processes and systems, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
Business Partnership & Support
• Act as a functional advocate for HR technology, translating business needs into system requirements. Coordinate with IT and Application Management Services (AMS) for escalated issues.
• Collaborate with HRBPs and BPOs to support process improvements and change management initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like SuccessFactors Stories and Power BI.
• Oversee the accurate and timely reporting of employee metrics and other key HR data.
Governance & Compliance
• Participate in sustainment governance of HR systems, ensuring that they meet business needs and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and internal audit protocols (e.g., Law 25 compliance).
Team Leadership & Development
• Coach HRIS analysts, fostering cross-training and solution mastery.
• Support talent development and succession planning within the HRIS function.
Your skills:
• Strong prioritizing, project management, planning and organization skills with the ability to serve multiple customers effectively while balancing large workload.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and user experience.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools.
• Experience creating training content and giving live presentations is an asset.
• Certification in SAP SuccessFactors or other relevant HRIS platforms is an asset.
• Experience with data privacy; security in HR systems and supporting organizational audit processes.
• Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in HRIS.
Your profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field or high school diploma + relevant experience
• 5–7 years of experience in HRIS management, including system implementation and integration.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors or UKG Pro Workforce Management (or any other Time & Attendance system)
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of HRIS professionals.
• Bilingual French and English
