Howe Sound Pulp & Paper is seeking to fill the position of Scaffolder. This job is permanent full-time, located in Port Mellon BC.  As a member of the Maintenance team, you will be expected to prioritize safety while addressing production and maintenance requirements. While you will collaborate with others, much of your work will be independent, and you will consistently ensure accuracy and safety in all tasks you perform.

General Responsibilities:

Erection and dismantling of scaffold

Providing others with safe, secure access to areas both indoors and outdoors

Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints

Inspect scaffold equipment for safety and functionality

Follow blueprints and specifications to build scaffolds accurately

Sort and organize scaffolding yard

Performing other activities as directed

Skills and Assets:

Familiar with Cuplock and Allround systems

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently

Previous experience working with scaffolding on an industrial site

Qualifications:

Certification from a recognized Scaffolding Training Provider (combined with years of experience )

Carpentry Red Seal is regarded as valuable

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate of $48.66 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement

Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
