The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Specialist, Rebates. This job is full-time permanent.
Overview: Reporting to the Supervisor, Sales Accounting, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides various types of vital expertise to the Company and for which independence, ongoing improvement and development of optimal solutions are very important.
Your Challenges:
- Create commercial agreements in the system;
- Prepare payments to customers;
- Closely monitor payment provisions (by customer and by agreement);
- Balance payments with provisions (reconciliation) and revise provisions accordingly in a timely fashion;
- Conduct analyses to support decision-making on conditional discounts and provide other decision-making assistance to the sales team
- Analyze agreements and act as a resource person for their development;
- Communicate with internal and external auditors to ensure all documentation required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is provided in a timely fashion
- Any other related tasks.
Your skills:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both official languages*;
- Strong skills in organization, planning, rigor, and accuracy.
- Ability to manage several files at once, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines while delivering quality results;
- Ability to work as a team member, to communicate with the other teams and to adapt rapidly to change;
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility and autonomy.
Your profile:
- Bachelor of business administration with a finance or accounting major or a combination of a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Accounting with relevant years of experience;
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience with a large business;
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and a high interest in working with various computer systems (primarily SAP);
- CPA designation would be an asset.
