The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Advisor, Benefits. This job is full-time permanent.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Health and Welfare Benefits, you will oversee various benefits-related activities, including financial tracking, invoicing, benchmarking, rate renewals, enrollment periods, issue resolution, verifications, and plan updates. You will also facilitate coordination among our global locations, benefit plan administrators, consultants, and insurers. This role supports employee programs such as medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, disability benefits, FSA, HSA, and voluntary benefits, in all locations where we operate in Canada and the United States.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Supervise and coordinate benefits administration activities across our global locations, working closely with insurers, benefit plan administrators, and consultants.
- Review vendor invoicing and process weekly, monthly, and quarterly bill reconciliations with the financial system.
- Support annual rate renewal process in collaboration with consultants, review insurer proposals, and prepare cost analyses for management.
- Provide census data, audits, and ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
- Collect and analyze data regarding employee benefit plan usage, costs, and participation rates to evaluate program effectiveness and identify potential opportunities for plan improvements.
- Support annual open enrollment initiatives, including testing and system updates.
- Respond to escalated employee benefits inquiries from the Human Resources Shared Service team.
- Assess current administration processes and vendor relationships, recommending improvements as needed.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.

Required Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Actuarial Science.
- Minimum of 5years of experience in benefits, either in Canada or in the U.S., or related fields.
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits is considered an asset.
- Spoken and written skills in English are required.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data modeling).
