Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team and will be accepting applications for Maintenance Millwright.   This will be a Shift Millwright (12-hour rotating shift) position.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing mechanical repairs or install new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Working with preventative maintenance programs (inspections, lubrication and time-based maintenance) and documenting accurate maintenance records
  • Working with a wide array of precision tools, including computerized alignment equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret machine drawings

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid journeyman card, indicating successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.  A journeyman’s certification is preferred but we will consider equivalent experience without certifications.
  • A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Solid computer skills and experience with electronic work orders.
  • Self-directed.
  • Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills.

 

 Recommended Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry will be considered an asset.
  • Additional certifications or experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and welding or related experience in the pulp and paper industry is a plus.

 

 Must be willing to meet the following requirements:

  • Available to work varying hours that may include shift, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.
  • Able to work both independently and as a part of the team.
  • Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Work in industrial conditions.
