The location in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Co-op Intrumentation Technician. This job is Temporary Full-time.

Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp is seeking to fill a vacancy in the Electrical and Instrumentation department. The Co-op Instrumentation Technician (E/I) works as part of a team which maintains, troubleshoots, and optimizes the electrical and instrumentation and control systems in the mill.

 

Qualifications:

1) Students currently enrolled in Intrumentation Technician at a post secondary school.

 

Responsibilities:

· Perform routine planned predictive and corrective E/I maintenance.

· Plan E/I maintenance in conjunction with Supply Chain and Operations personnel.

· Investigate E/I technologies with vendors.

· Troubleshoot, with other mill personnel, operational and maintenance issues.

· Optimize process control in conjunction with Operations and Technical personnel to enhance mill operation.

· Develop and implement reliability integrity strategies for E/I equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

· Safety Systems and Safety Interlocks.

· PLC and Distributed Control Systems experience.

· Process Control

· High Voltage

· Analytical Instrumentation

· SAP or other enterprise business software

· Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work in a team environment.

 

Preference will be given to qualified local and regional Saskatchewan applicants.
