The location in Kingsport Packaging, (Tennessee, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Material Prep Operator. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Domtar's new Kingsport Packaging Mill is currently accepting applications for Material Prep Operator. While this is the mill entry position, we seek those individuals who aspire to rise to the top of the mill’s operations. $19+/hour + comprehensive benefits. 

SCHEDULE:
The mill operates under the Dupont 12-hour rotating schedule. 

RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:
• Commitment to learning new skills. Buy in to the family-based high-performance work system.
• Operate powered industrial trucks.
• Work in a warehouse operation.
• Housekeeping, cleaning, painting, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred with a strong aptitude for risk assessment and good mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work a rotating shift including weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
• Committed to following all safety policies and procedures to include wearing all personal protective equipment including hard hats, ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, chemical suits, steel toe boots, etc.
• Comfortable working at heights, using ladders, lifts, and working in confined spaces.
• Safe operation of powered industrial trucks.
• Work within indoor and outdoor conditions of heat, cold, noise, dust, and moisture.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Successful applicants will complete a selection process that includes an assessment, board panel interview, background check, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a physical examination relevant to the work performed.
