The location in Calhoun, TN, is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Engineer, Process. This job is an onsite position.

 

Primary Purpose: Technical oversight of the day to day operations of an integrated facility, primarily the Tissue Converting area.  Personnel safety, process optimization, product development, maintenance input and machine efficiency are key elements.  The OEM equipment and engineered baseline are the backbone of this position’s responsibility.  Top priorities for this position:

 

  • Primary technical coach for operations team members
  • Lead trials
  • Work with vendors for process optimization which includes chemical optimization
  • Lead partnership meetings with internal customers
  • Parcview, Proficy, Power BI lead
  • Monitor and reduce waste, drive waste initiatives
  • Process Centerline Development
  • Lead CAPEX projects
  • Training development, engineering design input
  • Product development
  • Downtime analysis
  • Machine efficiency and rate optimization
  • Lead root cause problem analysis

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 5 years working in manufacturing, with Tissue, pulp and paper experience a plus
  • An engineering degree in pulp and paper sciences or chemical engineering is desired, other types of engineers such as electrical and mechanical with experience in paper making are acceptable. 
  • Understanding of machine processes operating at maximum efficiency. 
  • Must have very good organizational, analytical, computer and communication skill.
  • Progressively responsible management position related to operations in tissue manufacturing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Troubleshooting (process focus) skills
