The location in [[Brownsville]], ([[TN]], , is seeking talent to fill the position of [[Production Manager]]. This job is [[Salaried]] [[Exempt]].

 

  1. Lead a culture that promotes ownership for safety behaviors. Involvement in corporate health and safety audit programs, including attending audits at other sites. Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed, participant in safety investigations, attends shift and site safety meetings, and follow ups with supervisors / crew leaders to ensure uniform accountability.
  2. Manage a team of production supervisors / crew leaders and their respective production employees to achieve objectives.  Responsible for delivering against operational targets. Includes timely administration of coaching, progressive discipline, evaluations, and follow up for compliance. Training of all team members including new hire training, on-the-job training, and promotional training. Including but not limited to safety, quality, machine processes and procedures, etc. Scheduling of employees including vacations and overtime. 
  3. Identify and resolve complex problems, which may have a significant impact on customers, quality, cost and safety.  Apply best practice knowledge and broad first-hand experience. Deliver incremental advancements to the operation by leading continuous improvement efforts within the production environment.
  4. Manage quality assurance program, recognized as a site representative to the Fort Mill Quality team. Oversees resolving of quality issues in a timely manner, conducts regular quality audits, monitors company quality complaint software for any new entries, ensure all quality policies and procedures are being followed, and visits to customers to take a pro-active quality approach as necessary.
  5. Responsible for daily production reporting. Effectively collaborating with maintenance to identify equipment issues, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.
  6. Communicates with paper mill representatives to ensure production scheduling efforts are smooth and efficient.  Also expected to work with cross-functional corporate and local departments such as transportation, planning, finance, purchasing, etc. to ensure operations achieve desired outcomes.
  7. Seek out opportunities for professional development including leadership development, communication skills, employee development, etc.
  8. Successfully complete all other duties and assigned projects.
