Operational Forestry Student, Northwest Woodlands

Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations. This job is temporary full-time.
Your Challenges:
- Ensure application of the highest safety standards
- Provide contact oversite / quality checking for field quality samples weekly (tree length, roundwood, chips & Biomass)
- Monitor and conduct gravel pit inspections
- Perform water-crossing inspections as part of the annual program
- Timber cruising.
- Working individually and in a team in remote settings around Northern Ontario
- Other projects and opportunities that occur during the contract period
Your profile:
- Enrolled in a Forestry Degree Program or a Forestry Technical Diploma Program at an accredited post-secondary institution or other relevant Educational Program
- Must be available to commence work the first week of May 2025
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, with a clean driver’s abstract
- Field navigation via compass, GPS and wilderness skills
